Description: This one-of-a-kind folder was handmade by renowned South African knifemaker Neels Roos. It is a tremendously elegant knife with terrific fit and finish throughout! The combination of Maple Burl with highly controlled damascus sets this apart as a truly unique and exceptional folder.
The wharncliffe blade was hand ground from twist pattern damascus. The pattern is intricate and highly controlled -- a variation of twist pattern that is immediately identifiable as Ettore's. Gianferrari is considered among the best damascus makers in the world and is regrettably very close to retirement. At 58 Hrc, it is sure to have a keen, long lasting edge. The hollow ground blade is well centered with smooth action. It is easily flicked out with the inobtrusive front flipper tab. With a little practice, the front flipper can be easily used with either your forefinger or thumb.
Stabilized maple burl handle scales meet in an heirloom fit with Hakkapella pattern stainless damacus bolsters. Bronze anodized grade 5 titanium liners surround a stainless steel backbar.
Exceptional work throughout!
