Description: Mastersmith Tommy Gann makes an exceptional knife.
The drop point blade was forged to shape from 52100 carbon steel. Many knifemakers and users feel that 52100 is among the best carbon steels currently used for knifemaking. The spine and integral bolster are meticulously polished. A mustard patina is beautiful and provides some protection from oxidation. A distal taper ensures perfect balance.
The handle is formed from stabilized spalted oak wood. A distal tapered full tang ensures strength and durability. Creating an integral bolster is an extremely difficult task in a custom setting and show's Tommy's skills at its best.
A pouch style leather sheath makes it easy to keep this knife close at hand.
Exceptional work throughout!
