Willem was accepted as a member of the Knifemakers’ Guild of Southern Africa (KGSA) in May of 2007. His attention to detail is clearly evident in his knives.
The 3-3/4 inch clip point blade is made from N690 stainless steel hardened to 59HRC with a brushed satin finish. N690 is a super-steel created by Bohler in Austria. It takes an incredibly sharp edge and holds on to it. Increased toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping. The blade is hollow ground for an easy to maintain edge.
The handle is combines carbon fiber and layered red G10 and carbon fiber. The result is elegant and enticing! Blue anodized titanium liners are jewel polished on the interior. Bothe the backbar and the liners are hand fileworked. A flipper assists in the ease of opening. A ball bearing pivot ensures silky-smooth deployment. The pierced, anodized titanium pocket clip is mounted for tip-up carry.
Exceptional work throughout!
