Description: South African knifemaker André Thorburn creates an exceptional folder. The blade is perfectly centered and silky smooth -- easily opened with one hand using the IKBS ball bearing system, which is silky smooth. The Ikoma Korth Bearing System (IKBS) pivot system was originally designed to fit balisong knives and uses ball bearings to create exceptional action with no blade play. The front flipper mechanism is easy to operate for single handed open, yet provides a slimmer profile and is less likely to catch on things when carried in the pocket.
The clip point blade is formed from N690 stainless steel, a super-steel created by Bohler in Austria. It takes an incredibly sharp edge and holds on to it. Increased toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping. The blade is hollow ground for an easy to maintain edge. By satin finishing the grinds and mirror polishing the flats, Andre has emphasized his clean grind lines.
Stainless steel bolsters are hand-engraved and textured. Blue anodized titanium liners, sporting hand filework surround a stainless steel back spacer. Domed and polished G10 scales are secured by stainless screws. A titanium pocket clip is set up for tip-up, right-hand carry. A cordura pouch is included.
Exceptional work throughout!
