Description: This beautiful dress folder features a front flipper opening system. This modification on a flipper opening is tremendously easy to use and does not catch when stored in the pocket. When combined with the IKBS ball bearing system, the action is exceptional! The Ikoma Korth Bearing System (IKBS) was originally designed to fit balisong knives and uses ball bearings to create exceptional action with no blade play. This is among the smoothest knives I have ever felt.
The blade is formed from stainless damascus forged by Rob Thomas. The ladder pattern damascus is etched in the grinds and mirror polished on the flats, emphasizing Andre Thorburn's accurate grind lines. The result is immediately captivating!
Blue anodized titanium liners support 416 stainless steel bolsters and carbon fiber scales. The bolsters have been meticulously hand engraved by Belgium-born artist Julien Marchal. Julien studied engraving and gun making at Léon Mignon Liège in Belgium. A complex bouquet of flowers and floral scroll adorns the surface of the steel. The centers of some of the flowers are inlaid with 24kt gold, for a dramatic effect. Titanium liners are meticulously hand fileworked in a vine pattern. Extreme attention to detail has been paid throughout this knife, and has exceptional fit and finish.
