Description: Chris Owen is a talented maker that is well worth watching. This Bill Moran inspired gent's bowie knife shows his tremendous sense of skill and craftsmanship. From the finely forged damascus, to the exceptional fit and fine silver inlays, this is a knife that shows Owen's skills at his best. This knife was kept in a private collection since it was made back in 2012. It is in new condition and by all appearances, Chris could have made it yesterday!
The clip point blade was hand forged by Chris. The bold pattern is high contrast and immediately captivating. Bars of twisted Ws pattern damascus form the spine and cutting edge. They surround a contrasting central 15N20 carbon steel line. Owen's maker mark can be seen on the left side of the blade.
The curly maple handle is nicely carved for a very comfortable grip. Fine silver is inlaid in a vine pattern. Two pins secure the handle to the hidden tang. The damascus ferrule and guard are perfectly fit to the handle.
Accompanied by a pouch style leather sheath with a wood insert.
Excellent work throughout!
