Description: This clip point skinner shows how Aaron Wilburn's work is developing an increasing refinement of design while he continues to create hard-working, field-use knives. This is a clip point skinner that is sure to feel comfortable either out in the field or in any collection.
The blade was forged to shape from Aaron's own feather pattern damascus. The intricate damascus combines two different steels to create one of the most subtle and elegant patterns that Aaron has created. By forging the blade to shape, Aaron makes the damascus radiate from a central "quill".
The antler handle is formed from sambar stag. Sambar of this quality has become increasingly difficult to come by. An ancient walrus ivory spacer adds excellent contrast. Thin alternating nickel silver and black fiber spacers assist the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. A serious field knife for the avid hunter or collector. The knife is accompanied by a hand stitched pouch style sheath featuring quill and button pattern tooling. The elegant sheath is lined with deer skin.
Excellent fit and finish throughout.
