Description: This dramatic hunter clearly shows the influence of knives by Mastersmiths Ed Fowler and Bill Burke.
The straight-spined blade was forged to shape from Aaron's own feather pattern damascus. The steel combines three different steels to create a very dramatic pattern. By forging the blade to shape, Aaron makes the damascus radiate from a central quill.
The handle is formed from a solid section of ancient oosic. This type of dark toned oosic is particularly hard to find. The end, where the oosic was broken off long ago, is left with its natural texture. Alternating stainless and red fiber spacers assist the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. The handle feels so natural in the hand, you’ll have a hard time putting it down. A serious field knife for the avid hunter or collector.
The knife is accompanied by a hand stitched pouch style sheath. The 9-10oz leather has been hand tooled in a basket weave pattern.
Excellent fit and finish throughout.
