Description: South African knifemaker André Thorburn creates an exceptional folder at an outstandingly low price. The blade is perfectly centered and a joy to use, easy to open with a single hand. The clip point 19C27 stainless blade is meticulously hand satin finished in the grinds and mirror polished on the flats. The steel, which is in the same family as 12C27, is wear-resistant and takes on an incredibly, keen, long lasting edge. It is one of those rare steels that has exceptional edge holding and can be easily stropped from uselessly dull to sharper than you’d believe. 304 stainless steel bolsters are textured and patterned like the pelt of a giraffe, providing a secure thumb rest. Blue anodized titanium liners surround a stainless steel back spacer. The scales are giraffe bone in shades of gray and cream. Exceptional work throughout.
