Description: Bob Lay's designs are well thought out and show an amazing degree of craftsmanship. The combination of the green dyed and stabilized box elder with blonde sheep horn makes a very dramatic appearance. The stainless steel guard and butt cap create a perfect balance in the hand. Alternating nickel silver and black fiber spacers assist the handle to adjust to changes in temperature and humidity. The spine is fileworked, creating a perfect thumb rest. By mirror polishing the flats of the blade and satin finishing the grinds, Bob creates a knife with grind lines that are very dramatic. The blade has been heat treated to 58Rc for optimal edge retention. It is clear why Bob's work is sought after by both collectors and hunters. Accompanied by certificate from the maker.
