Description: Alan Warren has created an exceptional sway back hunter. This knife has been in a private collection since it was made in the spring of 2008. It has been meticulously cared for and by all appearances it could have been made yesterday. A small check in the front spacer was present and sealed when the knife was first made in 2008. The check has shown itself to be stable across the years.
The ATS-34 stainless steel blade was heat treated by a true master (Paul Bos) using a sub zero quench. This technique ensures a keen, long lasting edge. A hand rubbed satin finish lends an heirloom quality. The spine has been fileworked for a secure thumb purchase.
416 stainless steel front and rear biksters surround the African blackwood handle. Giraffe bone spacers add just the right amount of contrast to grab attention. The handle swells gently at the palm for a comfortable, secure grip. Black fiber spacers assist the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes.
This knis acompanied by a hand tooled, hand stitched leather sheath. Alan Warren is a stickler for perfection and it shows in every detail including the sheath.
Excellent fit and finish throughout.
