Description: Swedish knifemaker Greger Forselius has a sense of design rarely found elsewhere. This highly detailed Swedish Puukko hunting knife brings together Gregor's artistic and design sensibilities with flawless results.
The multi-bar Damascus blade was forged by renowned bladesmith Roger Bergh. The central bar incorporates firecracker pattern Damascus in a bold lattice. Edge bars are an explosion pattern forged from 20C and 15N20 carbon steels -- assuring a keen, long lasting edge. The spine has been thinned, keeping the knife light. An armor piercing tip adds tremendously to the knife's style.
The stacked handle combines stabilized birch with sections of buffalo horn and mammoth ivory. Nickel silver spacers surround larger sections. The mammoth ivory has been cross-cut to show off the ivory's inherent, dramatic grain pattern. The handle has been nicely sculpted for a comfortable hand-hold. Both the mammoth ivory and buffalo horn have been scrimshawed. The handle is finished off with a nickel silver pommel. Gregor continues the spiderweb theme by texturing the pommel with a web. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
