Description: This Twist Tighe Nouveau Button Lock Flipper is made by Canadian knifemaker Brian Tighe. Brian began engraving a few of his folders using his mill back in 2007. Less than 10 knives similar to this were made, making them very rare and hard to find. This knife was kept in a private collection since it was made in 2009. It is in brand new condition and by all appearances Brian could have made it yesterday.
The knife can be easily deployed using the ambidextrous flipper. A button lock allows the blade to be closed without your fingers being caught in the blade's path when closing. The blade is nicely centered and has smooth action.
The flat ground blade is Damasteel stainless damascus deeply etched for high contrast. This high performing stainless damascus steel is created using powder metallurgical manufacturing to provide excellent edge retention and unmatched beauty. The flipper tab doubles as a blade guard to prevent your hand from sliding over the blade.
Brian engraved the satin finished titanium frame on this exceptional folder with figures of women in an Art Deco style. The frame was contoured and fileworked along the edges. Barrel spacers keep the knife light, yet strong.
Excellent work throughout!
