Description: Jason Clark is a part time, sole authorship knifemaker from O'Brien, Florida. Jason has been employed full time as a Florida Law Enforcement Officer since 1997 and knows what it takes to make a high functioning knife that is meant to be used. He even offers lifetime free sharpening for any knife he has made!
The blade is perfectly centered with silky-smooth, drop-shut action -- easily opened with one hand using the ambidextrous flipper toggle. It uses the IKBS (Ikoma Korth Bearing System) pivot system. This mechanism, originally designed for balisong knives, uses ball bearings to deliver exceptional action with no blade play.
The tanto blade is hand ground Aogami Super san mai damascus. Many layers of damascus cladding surround a central core of Aogami Super carbon steel. Aogami Super is highly prized in Japan, and at 1.4-1.5% carbon, it provides exceptionally long edge holding and takes a razor-sharp edge. The primary bevel is hollow ground. Jason's touchmark is on the left side of the blade.
The titanium handle features Jason's impala milling, which imitates the grooves of an impala horn for excellent grip. The titanium frame surrounds a matching Aogami Super san mai damascus backbar. The custom pivot and pocket clip is Timascus titanium damascus. The pocket clip is mounted for right-side, tip-up carry.
A hand stitched pocket pouch made by Jason's wife is included.
