Description: Arno Bernard Sr. is a maker from South Africa and has been making knives for over 35 years. He has been a member of the Knifemakers Guild of Southern Africa (KGSA) for over 20 years. Living in South Africa has allowed him the luxury of using many different exotic handle materials -- some even collected himself.
This drop point hunter is hand ground Bohler N690 stainless steel with a stonewash finish. N690 takes an incredibly sharp edge and holds onto it. Increased toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping. The blade has been hollow ground to a high performance edge.
The dramatic handle is spalted beech wood, set on the full tang using stainless steel pins. Finger grooves make it particularly easy to keep a firm grip -- even when hands are wet.
This sturdy knife is comfortable to hold and has excellent balance. From skinning, to field processing, to cooking around the campsite, this knife has you covered!
To keep the knife close at hand, a cape buffalo hide pouch style sheath is include.
Excellent work throughout!
