Description: Boker is a cutlery company located in Solingen, Germany with world-wide partners to execute a multitude of designs made in house and by renowned knifemakers alike. Since 1869 Boker has been creating knives, swords and tools for work and enthusiasts alike. Boker Plus is designed in Germany and finished overseas.
The Boker Lateralus (01BO778) is a sturdy folding knife that is ready for hard work. Designed by Jason B. Stout who is known for his heartily constructed knives, this knife is no exception. The large 3-3/4” blade rotates on ball bearings for smooth action and is easily deployed using the flipper tab. Jimping along the spine provides secure thumb purchase. Machined black G-10 makes up the show-side scale, while the back-side scale is a solid piece of steel that has a stonewash finish. The frame lock makes for a very strong and sturdy lock which can still be easily disengaged with one hand. The pocket clip is mounted for right side, tip-up carry.
The drop point blade is D2 semi-stainless steel. D2 had been used for knife blades for many years, possessing a great mix of edge holding and toughness, while still being relatively easy to care for. Most of the time ensuring that the blade is dry is all it takes to prevent corrosion and staining, but a high-quality oil like camellia oil provides extra insurance against corrosion. A stonewash finish hides scratches that appear during use. A fuller runs most of the length of the blade. A sharpening choil doubles as a choke up position for the index finger while using the knife for detailed tasks. Jason Stout’s logo and a serial number are engraved into the blade along with the steel designation.
Made in China.
