Description: Mike Clark Jr's attention to detail is clearly evident in each knife that he makes. Given the level of work, it is no surprise that Mike easily passed his journeyman smith test at the 2019 Blade Show in Atlanta, GA.
This blade features a long raised clip. It was forged to shape from Clark's own damascus. By combining 1084 and 15N20 carbon steels, Clark ensures a keen, long-lasting edge. Because this knife is made from carbon steels, we recommend using camellia oil to avoid rust and oxidation.
The handle is made from presentation grade Arizona desert ironwood. This rare piece includes heartwood and sapwood into a truly dramatic and elegant handle. It is nicely hand contoured and set to the wrought iron ferrule and guard with an heirloom fit. This knife has great balance and feels exceptional in hand. As is typical of Mike Clark's work, this knife features take-down construction. This technique, which requires exceptional attention to detail, allows the knife to be disassembled if it ever needs repair.
This knife is accompanied by a custom hand tooled, hand stitched leather sheath.
Excellent work throughout!
