Description: This Damascus Dagger is the work of Bill Miller of Warsaw, Missouri. Bill is a sole authorship maker and forges his own damascus. He makes all sorts of knives including hunters, daggers, bowies, and swords. He has been making custom knives for over 30 years. This dagger was kept in a private collection since it was made. It is in brand new condition and by all appearances Bill could have made it yesterday!
The damascus blade was forged by Bill from 1080 and 15N20 carbon steels, ensuring excellent edge holding and chip resistance. The damascus is high contrast and immedietly captivating. Bill's touchmark is on the ricasso. Because the knife is forged from carbon steels, we recommend using camellia oil to oil the blade and ivory handle.
The handle is ancient walrus ivory artifact matched in ivory and caramel tones. This piece of ancient ivory was used as a firestarter by Alaskan Inuit - most likely in the early 1800s. A large spacer of African blackwood adds excellent contrast. Fluting in the handle provides a non-slip grip. The handle is finished with an oval brass guard.
A leather sheath with an ostrich shin leather front is included to keep the dagger close at hand. The button snap gives the knife extra retention.
Excellent work through.
