Description: Argentinian knifemaker Mariano Yannoni is creating some spectacular knives. Born in 1974, Mariano is proud to belong to a generation that has brought back custom knifemaking to his country. Mariano studies under renowned master knifemaker Miguel Ángel Gugliotta. Yannoni's knives are expertly made and show a tremendous level of craftsmanship. He brings his skills to knives designed for the outdoors, daily carry, and the kitchen.
This utility knife features a high performance san mai blade. A central core of VToku2 carbon steel is surrounded by stainless steel sides. Thin nickel layers set between the two create a particularly dramatic transition and stop carbon migration. A high flat grind ensures this utility knife makes a particularly effective cut. Because this knife is made from carbon steel, we recommend oiling the blade after use with camellia oil.
The handle combines stag with Micarta, copper, and desert ironwood spacers. The hand contoured handle is extremely comfortable and provides a sure grip.
This knife is accompanied by a custom, hand stitched leather sheath.
Exceptional work throughout!
