Description: Brion Tomberlin of Anvil Top Custom Knives is an American Bladesmith Society Mastersmith, instructor, and ABS board member. His influences include the likes of Mastersmiths Jim Crowell, Mike Williams, Bert Gaston, Jerry Fisk, and Jerome and David Anders. Brion has been making knives and other cutting tools for over 30 years. His designs are well thought out and his work is meticulous.
The 4 inch drop point blade was hand forged from 1084 carbon steel, ensuring excellent edge holding and chip resistance. A meticulous 600 grit hand rubbed satin finish adds an heirloom quality to the blade. Brion's mark and MS stamp are on the left side of the blade.
The handle is stabilized curly koa. Koa (Acacia koa) is a beautiful exotic wood that only grows on the Hawaiian islands. It is one of the most desirable exotic woods in the world. The 416 stainless steel guard is perfectly fit to the blade and handle. The slim handle will be easy to carry yet feels great in hand.
To keep the knife close at hand, a custom leather sheath made by Kenny Rowe is included.
Excellent work throughout!
