Description: When I recently visited Mastersmiths Kevin and Heather Harvey, I was very pleased to see they had some of their knives available. Kevin and Heather teach bladesmithing courses, with students travelling from all over the world to learn their techniques. Kevin uses the Heavin Forge mark on his knives when he creates a knife while demonstrating for his classes. This is one such knife.
The 5 inch drop point blade is hand ground 12C27 stainless steel. The grinds are satin finished. The flats are bead blasted. The Heavin Forge mark is on the left side of the blade.
Carbon fiber handle scales are set on the full tang for strength and durability. The end of the tang is filed for traction in an ice pick grip. The gently rounded handle fills your hand nicely and provides a comfortable grip.
The knife is accompanied by a hand stitched leather custom sheath. It is designed to accommodate horizontal or vertical carry.
Nice work throughout!
