Description: This knife is known to the U.S. Army Special Forces as "The Yarborough". It is a no-nonsense, hardworking tool, designed by renowned knife maker and designer Bill Harsey. This non-serialized Green Beret was named in honor of Lieutenant General William Pelham Yarborough who is known as the "Father of the Modern Green Berets". Since August 23, 2002, a serialized version of the "Yarborough" knife has been presented to each graduate of the Special Forces Qualification Course.
The hollow ground CPM 4V blade features a drop-point design with an aggressively ground swedge. This transitions into an elegantly rounded spine perfect for batoning through wood. CPM 4V steel is a powdered metallurgical tool steel produced by Crucible industries following the Crucible Particle Metallurgy process. It was produced as an improvement of CPM 3V. The components in this steel give it high toughness and outstanding wear resistance.
Black canvas Micarta scales are set on the full tang for strength and durability. They nicely swell to fill the palm and flare at the pommel and cross-guard. A glass-breaker is integrated with the lanyard hole.
The Green Beret Knife is a using knife that, just like the men for whom it was designed, is efficient, tough and uncompromising.
Accompanied by a black nylon sheath.
