Description: Swedish knifemaker Greger Forselius has a sense of design rarely found elsewhere. This highly detailed Swedish hunting knife brings together Greger's artistic and design sensibilities with flawless results.
The unique blade was forged and ground by Vladyslav Chulan. A Rex 121 tool steel core is surrounded by many damascus layers. CPM REX 121 is a new high vanadium cobalt bearing tool steel designed to offer a combination of the highest wear resistance, attainable hardness, and hardness available in a high speed steel. This blade will have exceptional edge holding! Because this knife is forged from carbon steel, we recommend using camellia oil to oil the blade and handle.
The stacked handle combines dyed and stabilized maple burl with sections of desert ironwood and ancient mammoth ivory. Alternating stainless steel and black fiber spacers will help the natural materials adjust to humidity and temperature changes. Decorative fluting throughout the handle provides a comfortable, slip resistant grip.
To keep the knife close at hand, a tooled leather sheath is included.
Excellent work throughout!
