Description: I was excited when Mastersmith David Lisch introduced me to Mike Clark Jr. Mike's attention to detail was clearly evident in his exquisite work. Given the level of work, it is no surprise that Mike easily passed his journeyman smith test at the 2019 Blade Show in Atlanta, GA. Visiting with Mike again at this year's Blade Show was a real treat. He had some of his most impressive work to date and I was very excited to be able to offer some of them through BladeGallery.
Mike is calling this elegant wharncliffe EDC his pocket razor model. This lightweight knife weighs in at under 2 ounces making it a very easy knife to have at your side every day.
The blade is hand forged 1084 carbon steel and features a differential heat treatment. This provides a keen long lasting edge with a soft and supportive spine. As the model name infers, the blade is razor sharp. Mike's maker mark is on the right side of the blade.
The handle is amboyna burl secured to a full tang using two pins. The compact handle fills your hand nicely and feels great. A lanyard provides easy extra retention.
To keep the knife close at hand, a hand stitched leather sheath is included.
Excellent work throughout!
