Description: Frank Edwards began his journey into knifemaking in 2009 and started forging in 2011. He joined the American Bladesmith Society in 2017 and has taken classes from some of the greats in the custom knife world including mastersmiths Bill Burke and Rick Dunkerley. In a relatively short time, Frank is creating world class folders that rival those made by his teachers.
The feather pattern damascus blade was hand forged from 1080 and 15n20 carbon steels. The high contrast pattern is captivating and will have excellent edge retention. Because this knife is forged from carbon steels, we recommend using camellia oil to oil both the blade and natural mammoth ivory handle scales. The blade rotates on Teflon washers and has silky smooth-action. The perfectly centered blade is easily opened using the 24K gold 'Dellana dots'.
Mammoth bark ivory scales are dovetailed perfectly to feather pattern damascus bolsters. A 24K gold border is inlaid into each bolster. 15n20 liners are heat blued and surround a backbar that is engraved by Edwards with a running wheat pattern. A matching engraving is also on the inside of the backbar along with Frank's maker mark.
Exceptional work throughout!
