Description: Award winning Swedish knifemaker Henry Hildén created this exquisite sole authorship Swedish Bowie. The fit and finish throughout is exceptional.
The multi-bar composite damascus blade was forged from 1770 and 15N20 carbon steels. Three separate bars of damascus were combined to create the complex pattern. The edge and spine bars are a particularly dramatic explosion pattern. The central bar is a twisted mosaic damascus pattern. Hilden's grind lines nicely reveal the intricacies hidden within his damascus. The blade is truly exceptional and shows Hilden's work at its best.
The handle combines presentation grade bark mammoth ivory with alternating spacers formed from hot blued steel and bronze. The guard and pommel are formed from mosaic damascus.
The knife is accompanied by a traditional Swedish leather sheath.
Exceptional work throughout from one of the great sole-authorship Swedish knifemakers!
