Description: John Leitch's Acero is an exceptional folder. It is one of the finest production knives made anywhere in the world. The materials, precise tolerances, and finish are impeccable quality. John's design and specifications were meticulously crafted by one of the premier knifemakers in Seki, Japan.
The mirror polished ATS-34 stainless steel blade is precision ground for a thin, high performance edge. It is easily opened using the thumb nick. Excellent action and well centered. Front and rear bolsters are perfectly fit to blacklip mother of pearl scales. A cast sterling silver inlay in art deco style is set on the left side. The sculpting was done by Leslie Tacetta. The bolsters have been engraved. The engraving was done by hand, one knife at a time by Rex Pedersen, a longtime member of the Engravers Guild of America.
The knife is accompaneid by a kangaroo leather slip case, hand stitched and wet formed to the shape of the folder.
Exceptional work throughout.
