Description: This Two Blade Trapper by Tobin Hill features a CPM-154 stainless steel blade and dramatic mammoth ivory scales. It is an amazing folder. Tobin learned to make knives from legendary folder maker Bill Ruple. He is clearly a maker to watch.
Both blades are formed from premium CPM-154 stainless steel, ensuring a keen, long lasting edge. The liners as well as the 410 stainless steel backspacers are meticulously hand fileworked. The blades open smoothly using right-handed nail nicks. They close smoothly with no play, and are well centered. Each blade has a firm, perfectly timed half stop. The 416 stainless steel bolsters are nicely fluted.
Matched mammoth ivory bark handle scales combine a cream toned background with chocolate veins. The right scale is set with a stainless steel escutcheon. Hand domed stainless steel pins are used throughout.
This Slipjoint Trapper is an exceptional knife. Accompanied by a Hill Knives padded zipper case.
