Description: Mastersmith Kevin Harvey teaches bladesmithing courses, with students travelling from all over the world to learn his techniques. Kevin uses the Heavin Forge mark on his knives when he creates a knife while demonstrating for his classes. This is one such knife.
The 4-1/2 inch drop point blade was hand forged from Kevin's own damascus. It was forged closely to shape, ensuring a keen, long lasting edge.
The handle is made from wild olive wood(Olea capensis). This mid toned wood has a nice, engaging figure with darker striations. An African blackwood spacer adds nice contrast. The contoured handle is fit perfectly to the brass guard. Thin fiber spacers assist the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes.
The knife is accompanied by a hand stitched tooled cowhide sheath.
