Description: This exquisite drop point hunter was made by the Heavin Forge team back in 2013. It has been in a private collection and has been meticulously cared for. By all appearances, it could have been made yesterday.
The blade was hand ground from Bohler N690 stainless steel. N690 ensures a keen, long lasting edge with good resistance to chipping. It is a great choice for high performance use knives. The spine is hand fileworked for a secure thumb purchase. Both the blade and tang are distal tapered for perfect balance.
Wild olive wood scales are nicely contoured for a comfortable grip. Brown and white fiber liners assist the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. 304 stainless steel bolsters are perfectly fit to the scales and blade. The bolsters are nicely textured to promote a positive grip for skinning and general purpose tasks. The handle is completed with a lined lanyard hole.
The knife is accompanied by a hand stitched leather sheath.
Exceptional work throughout! This knife has a clean and well thought out design that is beautiful without being ostentatious.
