Description: Mastersmith Kevin Harvey is well known for his tremendous attention to detail -- only matched by his skill at design. This elegant drop point hunter has it all.
The drop point blade was forged to shape from Kevin's own heartbeat pattern damascus. The broad blade shows off the pattern beautifully. The pattern combines bold patterns with fine details, making it pull attention from a distance and hold it upon closer examination. The pattern has a dramatic chatoyancy when the blade is moved in light.
The contoured handle is formed from Brazilian hickory burl. Guajuvira (Patagonula Americana) is a stunning variegated species that grows throughout Paraguay, Bolivia, Uruguay, Argentina, and parts of Brazil. The guard is formed from copper. Kevn hand engraved the both sides. The copper brings out warm tones in the swirling figured wood.
This knife is accompanied by a brown cowhide sheath with tremendous hand tooling depicting African masks.
Absolutely exceptional work throughout!
