Description: This Woodcraft Hunter was made by James Behring Jr of Behring Made. He and his team of craftsmen create knives with inovation, quality craffsmanship and functionality. James grew up in rural Michigan, playing in the woods bow hunting, fishing and skeet shooting. As a boy, his father taught him to hunt and fish on the lakes and in the forests of Norther Michagan and later in the Upper Peninsula. The Behring family had a hunting camp in the UP where James would spend much of his fall. His youth made him understand the value of a great knife.
The blade of this Woodcraft Hunter was hand forged from O1 carbon steel. A convex grind ensures a high performance, durable edge. The blade is satin finished.
A brass guard separates the premium sambar stag handle from the blade. It is silver soldered in place to seal out the elements.Spacers formed from black, red, and ivory Micarta along with brass assist the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes.
The knfie is accompanied by a hand tooled leather sheath build by Treestump Leather.
Exceptional work throughout!
