Description: Sean O'Hare is a bladesmith from Grand Manan, Canada. He has been making handmade knives since 2001 and moved to full time knifemaking in 2009. He strives to make each of his handmade knives with a clean, well thought out design that is both great looking and very functional.
This Krytter Flipper is a compact EDC knife for pocket-friendly carry. The blade measures in at 2.8" with an overall length of 6.3" when open. The weight comes in at a mere 2.8 ounces. Despite its small stature, the knife fits perfectly in the hand and is comfortable to grip. Whether carried every day or used as a backup knife, this flipper will be there when its needed.
The blade is made from Carpenter's CTS-XHP stainless steel with a hand rubbed satin finish. This US made steel is a new air hardening, high carbon, high chromium, corrosion resistant alloy. This steel will have exceptional edge holding! A choil allows you to choke up on the blade and the raised harpoon tip provides strength as well as acting as a thumb rest while using the choil.
The handle is made from bead blasted titanium and features a sturdy framelock. Fluting provides the appearance of a bolster. Screws throughout have been heat colored. The backbar is made from silver strike carbon fiber. The bead blasted titanium pocket clip is mounted for right-handed, tip-up carry.
Excellent work throughout!
