Description: Journeyman Smith Mardi Meshejian is one of the true innovators of artful knife designs. This knife is both creative and captivating with a playful blade that is both useful and enjoyable. This folder is a perfect blend of tactical art.
The blade is formed from Mardi's own mosaic damascus, forged from 1080 and 15N20 carbon steels. The complex pattern is nicely visible from a distance and draws you in. The wharncliffe blade moves into a razor sharp tip. It can be easily rotated out with one hand using the integral front tab. A locking liner securely locks it in place.
The handle is constructed from ancient walrus ivory. The ivory is from the very outer section of the ancient tusk and combines cream and caramel tones. The colors enter the ivory over thousands of years as minerals move into the ivory from surrounding soil. The ivory is set against sculpted and differentially anodized titanium. Purple anodized titanium liners surround a damascus backbar. The integral front tab can also be used as an integral pocket clip which hangs the knife sideways in the pocket.
Excellent work throughout!
