South African knifemaker, Jan Wahl, is a maker to watch. He became a full time knife maker in 2009 and joined the South African Knife Makers Guild in 2012. Jan has excellent attention to detail. For the last couple years, he has been making folders as well as fixed blades and the results have been incredible.
The 1-3/4 inch blade is made from stainless damascus forged in Sweden by Damasteel. The high performing blade is also exceptionally beautiful. It takes an incredibly sharp edge and holds onto it. The spine has been nicely rounded for comfort.
Handle scales are made from stabilized spalted maple burl. They are nicely rounded for a comfortable grip and seated with hand domed pins.
This Damascus Scalpel Desk Knife is accompanied by an ebony presentation stand.
