Description: Hungarian knifemaker Csaba Vojko was born in 1967. He has been making knives since 1990 and brings a tremendous amount of skill to his work. He specializes in high carved, high performance knives and black powder cut and shoots. He forges his own damascus and blades and does his own engraving. He is a spectacular artist.
Csaba forged the blade from his own carbon steel damascus, combining 75Ni8 and K720 carbon steels. The high contrast pattern immediately grabs attention. The spine has been carved and textured. The blade moves seamlessly into the integral damascus bolster. Like the blade, the metal has been meticulously carved. The left bolster features a detailed image of oak leaves and acorns.
The tigerwood (Astronium spp.) handle is nicely contoured and carved on both sides in a deep three dimensional basketweave pattern. It is a supremely comfortable grip. This is a knife you won't want to put down.
The knife is accompanied by a hand tooled leather sheath. The sheath is tooled to resemble the basketweave carving on the knife.
Exceptional work throughout!
