Description: Herb Derr creates knives with an appearance that is captivating and immediately recognizable. This knife was kept in a private collection since it was made. By all appearances it is in brand new, unused condition.
The blade is a handsome birdseye pattern damascus with a vine pattern fileworked spine. The steel has been deeply etched and heat colored for high contrast. The carbon steel blade will have excellent edge holding.
The ancient walrus jaw bone handle is well complemented by the stabilized buckeye burl spacer. The rounded handle fits very comfortably in the hand. A nickel silver guard and butt cap bring weight back into the handle.
Accompanied by a pouch style leather sheath inlaid with python skin.
Excellent fit and finish throughout.
