Description: This folding knife was made by South African knifemaker Herucus Blomerus. A resident of Pretoria, Herucus (pronounced 'eh-roo-koos') has been a proud member of the South African Knifemakers Guild since 2005.
The drop point N690 stainless blade is hand satin finished in the grinds and mirror polished on the flats. N690 is created by Bohler in Austria. It takes an incredibly sharp edge and holds on to it. The increased toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping. The blade is hollow ground for easy, quick touchups.
The blade is easily opened by using the ambidextrous flipper mechanism. It is perfectly centered and has silky-smooth action due to the IKBS (Ikoma Korth Bearing System) pivot system. This mechanism, which was originally designed for balisong knives, uses ball bearings to create smooth action with no blade play.
Rosewood handle scales meet perfectly to zirconium bolsters. Bronze anodized titanium liners keep the knife light yet strong. The knife is easy to keep close at hand using the machined titanium pocket clip with ceramic retention ball, which is mounted for right-handed, tip-up carry.
Exceptional fit and finish throughout!
