Description: This folding knife was made by South African knifemaker Herucus Blomerus. A resident of Pretoria, Herucus (pronounced 'eh-roo-koos') has been a proud member of the South African Knifemakers Guild since 2005.
The stainless damascus blade is high contrast and immediately captivating. This steel is as high performance as it is beautiful! The blade is easily opened by using the right handed thumb stud. It has silky-smooth, consistent action with no blade play.
Handle scales are formed from presentation grade Arizona desert ironwood. The warm toned wood has a dramatic, swirling grain pattern. It is a perfect balance against the damascus in the blade. Bolsters are grade 304 stainless steel and were meticulously hand engraved in a Celtic knot work pattern. Titanium liners are anodized blue and are hand fileworked in a vine pattern.
This folder is a classy and refined piece. Herucus is clearly a maker to keep an eye out for - exceptional fit and finish throughout!
