Description: South African knifemaker Jaco de Kock creates an exceptional folder. This DK EDC Frame Lock Front Flipper will be the highlight of most any collection, but would also be a good choice as a daily carry folder.
The blade is hand ground stainless damascus forged by Damasteel in Sweden. This high performing damascus is created using powder metallurgical steel manufacturing to provide excellent edge retention and unmatched beauty. The pattern is revealed in the grinds. The flats are mirror polished nearly hiding the pattern. The blade is hollow ground for an easy to maintain edge. Jaco's touchmark is on the left side of the blade.
The blade has silky-smooth, drop-shut action and runs on caged bearings. It is perfectly centered.
The frame is bead blasted grade 5 titanium. Speed holes lighten the frame without sacrificing strength. An abalone shell pivot cap is inlaid on the left side. A torx screw can adjust the action from the reverse side. Barrel spacers keep an open back making the knife easy to clean. An internal lockbar stabilizer prevents accidental lock overtravel. The Damasteel pocket clip is mounted for right-side, tip-up carry.
Excellent work throughout!
