Description: Paul DiStefano is a bladesmith from Staten Island New York. He has been making knives full time since 2017 and is a Journeyman smith with the American Bladesmith Society. All of his knives currently are hand forged with a hammer and anvil. He is an up and coming making doing some really incredible work and is clearly a maker to keep an eye on!
The hand forged mosaic damascus blade show's DiStefano's talent at the forge. The fine mosaic pattern is extremely engaging, almost creating an optical illusion. The blade is perfectly ground from side to side and is razor sharp. Paul's mark is on the left side of the blade and his J.S. mark is on the right side.
The handle is presentation grade, highly figured black ash burl. It is heirloom fit to a damascus guard. Paul meticulously carved the handle with a butterfly and flower motif. The extremely detailed 3D carving adds elegance, but also provides an extremely comfortable, non-slip grip. This knife has exceptional balance and an elegant presence.
Exceptional work throughout!
