Description: This exceptional hatchet is the work of Argentinian knifemaker Pablo Untroib. Pablo lives in Buenos Aires. He specializes in knives for professional and amateur cooks as well as making outdoor knives and hatchets.
This hatchet could feel at home in any collection, though it will be a valued companion in any bugout bag or on any excursion into the woods.
The head O2 carbon steel. At Hrc 59, it will have a keen, long lasting edge. An elegant forced patina provides limited rust resistance and helps you get comfortable working with carbon steels. Because this hatchet is made from carbon steel, we recommend camellia oil to avoid rust and oxidation. This hatchet measures 9-1/3 inches from the top of the head to the end of the handle and 3.8 inches from the cutting edge to the hammer.
Arizona desert ironwood handle scales are set on the integral full tang for strength and durability. By making the head and haft from one piece of metal, Pablo ensures an exceptionally strong, resilient construction. The domed handle is nicely contoured so that it fits most hands.
Exceptional work throughout!
