Description: Renowned Japanese knifemaker Kikuo Matsuda has been grinding blades for over 40 years and is a 5th generation knife grinder. His unique, dramatic grinds are well known throughout the knife industry. Kikuo joined his father's knife grinding studio at 15 years old and learned grinding techniques from his father. Over the decades, Kikuo's skill at the grinder has become legendary.
This exceptional outdoors camp knife is a collaborative design with Japanese YouTuber Survidol (Survival-Idol). The long blade is perfectly weighted for chopping. A cutout at the top of the blade makes it easy to baton.
The hand ground blade is OU-31 stain resistant tool steel (Kikuo’s favorite steel) with Kikuo's signature disruptive acid finish. The hamaguri-ba (convex) ground blade ensures a keen, long lasting edge with lots of strength behind it - making this a perfect camp knife.
Brown/black camo G10 scales are set on the full tang with torx screws. A lanyard provides additional retention. The sculpted handle is very comfortable and provides plenty of tactile grip.
Accompanied by hand fitted Sunloid KD sheath with DOTS belt clip.
Exceptional work throughout!
