Description: Dale Miller's attention to detail shines through this elegant, slim profile gent's folder. The slip joint design, premium AEB-L stainless steel blade, and bright pink ivory wood scales make this a tremendous old school folder with modern performance.
The 3-1/2 inch blade is formed from premium AEB-L stainless steel, with a Rockwell hardness of 63. AEB-L, which was originally designed for razor blades and scalpels, is a perfect choice for a high performance slipjoint folder. The action is well timed and has a firm half stop.
Gently rounded handle scales are formed from natural pink ivory wood. The bright pink in these handle scales are natural. This Southern African wood is often described as rarer than diamonds. According to folklore, the tree is considered sacred to the Zulus in South Africa and is reserved for royalty. The pink ivory is hand polished to 2 micron, waxed, and buffed. The scales meet perfectly with fluted antiqued bronze bolsters. The spring is AEB-L stainless steel, tempered to about 50 Hrc.
Nice work throughout.
