Description: Swedish knifemaker Greger Forselius has a sense of design rarely found elsewhere. This highly detailed Swedish hunting knife brings together Greger's artistic and design sensibilities with flawless results.
The blade was hand ground by Greger from damascus forged from carbon steels by renowned bladesmith Randy Haas. The intricate mosaic damascus is extremely engaging and very pleasing to the eye. Because this knife is forged from carbon steels, we recommend using camellia oil to oil the blade and wood handle.
The handle combines contoured stacked birch bark and bog oak with brass bolsters. The dark black bog oak was buried in a peat bog and preserved from decay by the acidic and anaerobic bog conditions for hundreds or even thousands of years. Brass inlays are featured on the right side of the handle. The bolsters have been fluted for decoration. The bolsters are textured on the flat surfaces.
To keep the knife close at hand, a leather sheath is included.
Nice work throughout!
