Description: Conny Persson's knives are an inspiration to knifemakers and collectors. His influence in easily seen in many of the other Nordic makers. Regrettably, for many years, very little of his work gets to the US. This exceptional hunter has been in a private collection. It has been meticulously cared for and by all appearances, Persson could have made it yesterday.
The five bar composite mosaic damascus blade has excellent contrast and very complex patterns. It show's Conny's skill at its best. The central bar of mosaic damascus is forged using carbon steels and pure nickel, creating particularly high contrast. The firecracker pattern edge bar and twist damascus bars are forged from Uddeholm 15N20 and 20C carbon steels, ensuring the best possible edge.
The dramatic handle is formed from ancient walrus ivory. It is hand carved and shows exceptional beauty. A spacer is formed from carmel toned ancient walrus ivory. The guard and pommel ar both formed from mosaic damascus.
The knife is accompanied by a hand tooled, hand sewn custom Swedish leather sheath.
Exceptional fit and finish throughout from one of the great Nordic knifemakers.
