Description: Jeff Hawkins has a reputation for building high quality slipjoint folders. This Two Blade Muskrat with Jigged Bone is a prime example of his clean work.
This two blade slipjoint features two 3.1 inch clip point blades. Each blade is is hand ground CPM-154 stainless steel with a hand rubbed satin finish. This powdered metallurgical steel has a particularly small grain structure, making it take an extremely keen edge and hold it while remaining tough and chip resistant. The blades are perfectly centered with a firm half stop -- easily opened with their thumb nicks. This knife displays perfect timing, with the spring completely flush at all blade stop positions.
Amber jigged bone handle scales are secured to the 416 stainless steel liners using hand domed pins. The left scale is meticulously inlaid with a stainless steel escutcheon. The bolsters and liners are integral -- formed from a single piece of stainless steel -- for superior strength and durability.
Excellent work throughout!
