The Silver Front Flipper was designed by Jared Van Otterloo (JVO). This thin, lighweight, mid-size knife is extremely comfortable to held. At just 3.2oz, it disappears in the pocket. The inobtrusive front flipper tab is easy to use and won't get caught on things in the pocket.
The blade is perfectly centered with silky smooth action -- easily opened with one hand using the discreet and ambidextrous front flipper toggle. It uses the IKBS (Ikoma Korth Bearing System) pivot system. This mechanism, which was originally designed to fit balisong knives, uses ball bearings to create exceptional action with no blade play.
The drop point blade is hand ground CPM154 stainless steel. An integral thumb rest makes choking up for detail-work easy and comfortable. This powdered metallurgical steel has a particularly small grain structure, making it take an extremely keen edge and hold it while remaining tough and chip resistant. A hand rubbed satin finish adds to the heirloom appearance.
The scales are hand contoured burgundy Micarta with Thunderstorm Kevlar inlays. Bronze anodized titanium liners surround a carbon fiber back spacer. The textured black titanium pocket clip is mounted for right-side, tip-up carry.
Exceptional work throughout!
