Description: Argentinian knifemaker Mariano Yannoni is creating some spectacular knives. Born in 1974, Mariano is proud to belong to a generation that has brought back custom knifemaking to his country. Mariano studies under renowned master knifemaker Miguel Ángel Gugliotta. Yannoni's knives are expertly made and show a tremendous level of craftmanship. He brings his skills to knives designed for the outdoors, daily carry, and the kitchen.
This friction folder features a broad, bold blade made from 52100 carbon steel. Many knifemakers and users feel that 52100 is among the best (if not the best) steel used for modern knifemaking. A high flat grind ensures this folder makes a particularly effective cut. Because this knife is made from carbon steel, we recommend oiling the blade after use with camellia oil.
OD green G10 scales are set on 420 stainless steel liners. The large handle is nicely rounded for a particularly comfortable grip. The extended tang holds the blade open while in use, but ensures that this knife is legal to carry in most jurisdictions.
Making it easy to keep this knife close at hand, Yannoni included a custom, hand stitched leather belt pouch.
Exceptional work throughout!
