Description: From Brian Tighe comes a distinctive take on his classic sculpted flipper. This Tighe Fighter Tanto features 3D machined Arctic Storm FatCarbon scales and a stainless san mai blade. The center of the blade is ultra-high performing S90V stainless steel.
CPM-S90V is an excellent high-end, American-made, powdered metallurgical steel with a uniform micro-structure. The high carbon content combines with vanadium to form vanadium carbides, providing incredible wear resistance while leaving the chromium free to provide a high level of corrosion resistance. The nightmare ground blade features a bead blasted S90V core, stonewashed 154CM san mai sides (jigane), and satin finished flats. The action is super-smooth and the blade well centered. The blade can be easily deployed using the flipper tab or ambidextrous thumbstuds. Engage the button lock and the blade drops shut effortlessly.
Handle scales are made from Arctic Storm FatCarbon 3D machined to provide a comfortable grip. The scales surround a jimped black G-10 backbar. Custom scews are used throughout. A titanium pocket clip with ceramic retention ball is mounted for right-side, tip-up carry. A lanyard can be added easily to the back of the handle.
Excellent work throughout!
